To record the size of the battery used by my ASUS desktop computer keyboard and battery. Sometimes I can’t remember the size of the battery as it depletes after a long while.
The Keyboard battery : size “AAA”
The Mouse battery : Size “AA”.
By using the wireless keyboard and mouse, depletion of battery power may halt any work on the computer if there is no backup power or backup battery at home. And the wired keyboard & mouse make the table messy.
Currently, the use of Wired (D.I.Y) functions well and always works, no charging and no downtime. It is very cheap.
Except – the cable messes up my computer desk, making it harder to clean and arrange nicely. The cable always catches the mouse movement, and sometimes quite distracting. It can give me mental clutter.
From an efficiency perspective, disregarding the marketing perspective, for desktop work – wireless efficiency loss is negligible. The latency difference is irrelevant as not using for gaming competition. The battery cost for a year is also very small. It looks like the productivity and comfort outweigh the negligible loss.
