A Practical Ducati Jacket for Everyday Use

Posted on 08/03/2026 by admin

Recently, while walking through the stores at VivaCity Megamall in Kuching, I noticed a casual jacket from Ducati displayed at Parkson. The price tag was around RM300 after discount, which caught my attention. Ducati is a brand normally associated with high-performance motorcycles, so seeing their apparel in a department store setting was quite interesting.

At first glance, the jacket has a sporty appearance with the familiar red and black Ducati colour combination. The logo placement on the chest and sleeve gives it a distinctive motorsport identity without looking overly flashy. It is clearly designed as a lifestyle jacket rather than a heavy riding jacket.

For someone like me, the appeal is actually quite practical. Living in Sarawak, the weather can be unpredictable. Nights can become windy, and sudden rain showers are common. A light jacket that can protect against the wind while driving or walking outside is useful. This Ducati jacket seems suitable for that purpose.

What makes it attractive is the balance between style and everyday practicality. It is not bulky like a motorcycle protective jacket, yet it still carries the sporty image associated with the Ducati brand. For casual outings, night drives, or rainy evenings, it appears to be a comfortable option.

Another factor worth mentioning is durability. Many jackets in the market today are inexpensive but may lose their shape or appearance after several washes. Branded apparel often pays more attention to fabric quality and stitching, which can help maintain its form over time if cared for properly.

Of course, this is not a technical riding jacket and does not provide motorcycle protection. It is simply a casual jacket for daily use. For those who appreciate the Ducati brand or enjoy sporty casual clothing, this could be an interesting option.

As a general note, this article reflects a personal observation from a store visit. It is not a paid promotion. Sometimes a simple product spotted during a walk through a shopping mall can spark a small story worth sharing.
